I took a 2 week summer session introduction to birding class taught by Dr.
Frydendall at (then) Mankato State University in the early 1980's and I learned
a great deal. I have fond memories of the field trips our class took around
Mankato. I'm very sorry to learn of his passing. Brian Smith

Hello, birders: I was at the WTP'S yesterday morning and visited with two city
water department staff that were there. I asked them if the locked gates would
be permanent and was told that they'll be taking them down by September 1st and
will go back to the single chain that they've always
Birders,If you happen to stop by the Sleepy Eye WTP'S you'll find that the main

has happened. He wrote that someone has been bringing a dirt bike in there and
riding around but if I wanted I could climb over the gate
There's a large flock of White-faced Ibis/Plegadis Ibis at the 320th Street

Hi,A friend of my wife that lives in St. Paul wrote me that she had a male and

There's a Mute Swan on Ewy Lake in Waseca County and it's visible from Cty. Rd.
18. There's also some Trumpeter Swans nearby. It appears to be a first county
record. Tried uploading a picture to recently seen but goofed it up somehow.
