The Hummingbird is still visiting our feeder here in Plymouth. Consultation
with senior MOU members has led to a consensus that it is a Ruby-throated
Hummingbird, probably a juvenile male. Thanks to all who followed up and
weighed in on this.
We hope he decides to make a run for it pretty
One lonely female hummer visited my feeders here in Plymouth on Thursday
morning. I have not seen her today, yet.

This morning as I left the house, I thought I saw a hummingbird make a hasty
retreat from the daffodils. I checked the Ruby-throated hummingbird

Hopefully, I will get the feeder out tonight.

Had a female hummingbird visit our feeders at least three times this
morning. Cherie saw her first. Even with rotating feeders I am not able to
keep them thawed and I am not sure that she ever got anything. She was not
able to figure out our newer fancy glass ball feeder, although she drank

Today I happened to return to a favorite haunt, the Reservoir Woods area in
Roseville, and found, to my surprise, a jewelweed meadow swarming with
ruby-throated hummingbirds. This area has been marshy in years past, but the
jewelweed seemingly has exploded, and now seems to be

After the extremely cold night, the hummingbird came this morning at 7:23
and fed often while I was watching until 9:25. It's a cloudy day, but the
temperature rose into the 30s, and it's supposed to be rather mild for
several days. I had some errands to run, and returned at 11, but I haven't
It's 18 degrees and snowing, and the hummingbird arrived at 7:32 am.

She first appeared this morning at 7:10. The temperature didn't drop

It's 28 degrees this morning, but the sky is almost clear--just enough pink
clouds to be lovely--and there's no wind. The hummingbird appeared at the
