I've been trying to use more of the jelly made with cane sugar. It's not always available where I am so stock up when I do find it. Remember that all of our corn and beet sugar is now GMO. And of course no research has been made public on this. I'm just being eccentric and choosing nonGMO when p

Halved oranges, in this case stuck on to the sharp buds of a plum tree, seemed more attractive to Orioles when they inundated the neighborhood. Maybe they were equally interested in the insects that were finding the oranges, but in any case, there was little chance of getting stuck. Linda Whye On

Hi, I have a question I hope someone can answer. Does all the sugar in grape jelly hurt the birds in any way? I have orioles coming to it of course, but also red-bellied woodpeckers, catbirds, house finch and grackles and they are all eating large amounts. Thanks for any help. Nancy Overcott Fil

This morning there was a traumatic incident with a juvenile goldfinch and some grape jelly I have for the orioles. As I approached the hanging oriole feeder that was filled with grape jelly I noticed something odd in the feeder tray. When I got closer I realized it was a juvenile goldfinch
