The owl was seen today along Hwy 61 near mile 124 NE of Grand Marais. First
spotted by Al Loken. The solitaire also today in Grand Marais a half block W of
the East Bay Suites. First found by the Martins a block farther west.
Other birds seen during the so-called muffin trip along the North
Curt Rawn and I enjoyed great looks at the Northern Hawk Owl just north of
Hutchinson late this morning.
The bird hung out about 0.5 miles south of the original intersection of
Tagus Avenue (a.k.a County Road 12) and 230th Street. Specifically, it was
near the 22517 driveway entrance (look for
