The exact same thing happened to me, I have not been able to get Netscape
6.01 to work, but I have had success getting netscape 6 to work. What I did

Yes,
You can use the import facility to import the V4.- bookmarks into
Mozilla. I retired my NSV4.77 last month.
As for address books, just export your address book from NSV4.- as a text
file, and then you can import it into Mozilla using the import facility.

and I thought about implementing a jabber client into mozilla so there
is no need to make different clients for different IM systems. I was

As far as I can see, those bugs are that its always returning the same
thing. What I'm referring to is that for the first time (Netscape 4
Mozilla all versions), 0.9.1 is preventing access to history.length per the
documentation which says that you need browser privileges to access it.
