At about 8:00 this morning I stopped my car next to a large lifeless oppossum
in 4th Avenue North about one block from my house. Hardly ever see oppossums,
especially in Minneapolis. Had places to go and things to do, so couldn't
linger, and drove on.
On my way back home, at around 2:00 in the
Pardon my total bewilderment, but I am confused. I woder if any body on the

this city has the lowest public spending per capita on art in the countty,
yet after 5 years here,I am still amazed at how often I
You need to look under Minnesota Statute 504.?? for the rental laws. As for
raising rent, it can be raised as many times as the landlord wishes if there
is not a valid contract lease (in other words, if you are on month to month)
with a one month notice before the rent is raised. The rent can go

Yes, I think it is the same Joe Erickson -- someone said in their speech
about him that "Joe has spent his career teaching teachers at Augsburg".
And you probably recognize Colleen Moriarty from her position as
Communications Director during Sharon Sayles Belton's last term as Mayor --
Is Joseph Erickson the individual who teaches in the
education department at Augsburg and sought DFL
endorsement last year but did not get endorsed? Also
could someone give a brief description of Colleen
Moriarty? The name sounds so familiar but I'm drawing
a blank.

I live near 38th and Bloomington in Bancroft and have been asked by
three concerned friends about the triple stabbing at 38th and
Bloomington that supposedly happened a 4-7 days ago. To each I've
replied:
I haven't heard a thing.
What happened at 38th and Bloomington? Is it related to the nas

Thank you Earl! I would just like to add that Mpls
was the first jurisdiction to protect trans people
from discrimination 26(nearly 27) years ago. It was
many years before another jurisdiction did the same.
Minnesota became the first state to protect trans
people from discrimination in 1993 and

At the very
least politics should be ruled out of education. Only quality controls
and
INDIVIDUAL commitment to those standards should be a consideration.

Minneapolis School Board Candidates
Blast me for these thoughts! Somehow education it is a different issue for me than city council, or mayor (nonpartisan seats). Never should school board elections be complicated by party endorsement. What do other readers think? Here
my opinions.
