Hi All,
Has anybody used cluster workload exit support pack MC76 on Sun Solaris. The support
pack is supported on Windows 2000 but I want to use for MQ 5.2 on Sun Solaris. What
changes I need to do in the supplied C program to compile it on Sun Solaris.
Thanks in Advance

Art, Philip and Rebecca! I told the project manager to come up with some
hard data before we stray from our naming standards but I thought I'd test the
waters here first. Sounds like it's a non-issue.

Rob,
We've been using 'dot-delimited' names for MQ queue names for years.never had any problems. That's included WAS Versions 3.x, 4.x & V5.
Sorry, I don't have any URL links at my fingertips. WAS should be able to handle any valid MQ-accepted characters, though.

Well, when using dots MQ creates its queue file directory with "!".

Ok, I need to ask your help for a reality check here! One of our project

they insist that they need to use underscores instead. Has anyone else

Darren,
If you can use Perl instead of jscript, you will find there are quite a lot
of samples floating around. There is a growing repository at
http://www.mqseries.net for starters. The latest release of the Perl
MQSeries module now has improved support for clusters as well (Thanks,
Hildo!!!).
Everyone,
I am trying to
determine the cause for a problem that occurred after upgrading to 5.3 on
AIX. After upgrading and starting QMgrs, there was a process, amqrmppa, that was
running using our admin id, not mqm. The queue managers and listeners were
started using mqm and all other mq proc

Here's what you need to do:
You may leave the list at any time by sending a "SIGNOFF MQSERIES"
command to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Do NOT send this to [EMAIL PROTECTED]; that won't get you off this

Hello Jay,
Yes, QM authorization service will check against the user name on the QM machine.
Specify the desired one in MCAUSER parameter of your SVRCONN channel definition. The
channel can authenticate the remote client "by assertion" :-) or using SSL.

Hi all,
Iam using setmqaut to set the authorizations for particular users to the QM. However, Iam using MQ clients (NT) to connect
to the QM (Unix) in which the userid's are different. Does this command only work with accounts which only exist
on the unix box?
The reason is that Iam getting error
It is just bad coding :-) You can have both stdin & stderr go to the same
file on Windows too. In general, you would type:
saveqmgr -m QueueManagerName -f MyOutputfile.txt -R >log.log 2>&1
(to write to log.log)
saveqmgr -m QueueManagerName -f MyOutputfile.txt -R >>log.log 2>>&1
