i dont remember exactly but u can create the toc file on AIX while
installing any package...u can search the man page how to generate the TOC
file. But as far as i remember toc file is there on the installation CD.
Make sure that u r installing from the correct directory.

u can only write the channel exit when using the client connection. U can
write the exit on the server connection channel on JAVA or on C.
