Websphere MQ CSD07 works with Fedora core 2, up to
kernel-2.6.7-1.494.2.2 and with LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19.
kernel-2.6.8-1.521 doesn't works, I don't know why.

I tried it and got the channel.
Don't look in Advanced-Channel, look in Advanced-Client Connections or
check it with runmqsc.

Guido,
I cannot help you for problems with z/OS, but I recommend:
- Search www.mqseries.net and post the question there.
- Try to get a ssl connection solaris-solaris working because it's
easier to get help and if it works, you know that the certificates are
ok.
Much success

There isn't a message log in mqseries, it's only a transaction log.

On UNIX systems, you can use inetd or runmqlsr, on windows, you should
use runmqlsr only if you know what you do, maybe to test something. If
unsure, use Websphere MQ Explorer or amqmdain to configure and/or start
the listener, otherwise you'll use the interactive user.

I disabled the OAM as Ken suggested, and that has solved the problem, so I now

So this still begs the question: how on VMS do I find out what the security

On UNIX systems, you have to be a member of the group mqm to start
runmqsc.
You don't need any other authority.
Maybe it's the same on OpenVMS.

Hello,
in the context with inetd and listener I read that the language settinge
are important, maybe it's also your problem. Dump the environment
settings and compare it with the environment in the user shell.
