I've installed CSD04 on my developer workstation some days ago and I hadn't
any problems at all.
I followed the instructions of the 'readme' and created a new workspace.
But I didn't tried the new features so far (e.g. calling Java SP from
ESQL).

well, pointers are a concept most RPG programmers are unfamilar with, but
in my opinion it doesn't make programming more complex - it's a bit
different

this limit is not caused by MQSeries, it is coming from RPG (II / III),
there you are limited in field size definition

and the queue(s) and that will then wait
for data from your database trigger.
I'm not very sure about transaction scope if you code MQ calls directly
into a database trigger program - the trigger itself should be part of
the database transaction.

Steve,
there is a redbook available: MQSeries Publish/Subscribe Applications
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redbooks/SG246282.html
The other suggested reading is: Websphere MQSeries Integrator: Introducing
and Planning. You'll find a chapter about pub/sub.
cheers Joerg
This should display build level ca130-20010925mq
lslpp -L | grep Java130
This should show that the following filesets have been updated:
? Java130.rte.bin 1.3.0.11
? Java130.ext.plugin 1.3.0.11
? Java130.adt.debug 1.3.0.11
? Java130.rte.lib 1.3.0.11

Paul,
you'll need at least patch level 9 or 10 for AIX 4.3.3. I had no trouble
installing WMQI on this system.

thats not fully correct:
the new name for the AS/400 is iSeries and the operating system running on
is called OS/400
and the V5 releases of MQSeries (or Websphere MQ ;-) for OS/400 support
clustering

Gaurav,
I assume that your program is running in client mode - so you have to
adjust also the maximum message length for the channel. The default value
for the SYSTEM.DEF.CLNTCONN channel is 4 MB.
Hope this helps.

Ramesh,
you should check the support pack website
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/txppacs/txpm2.html#cat2
and read the MPxx support pack document for the platform(s) you want
MQSeries running on.
