Hi All,
I'm trying to install Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 (premium) as an application
during an OSD task sequence. Whatever I try it fails! I have seen people
struggling with the same issue but no one seems to have a solution.
The error in the log file is: ExecuteError: Package
Truly ☺ SCCM is a monster and you can REALLY make things happen fast (both bad
and good!!!) although bad things seem to move faster ☺

Hi:
I've got a Windows 8.1 client connected to an SCCM 2007 server. I keep
getting entries in the logs of the form:
CTM job {B573C359-D2E1-4419-B21D-DF4A647318B2} suspended
What's the best way to determine what job B573C359-D2E1-4419-B21D-DF4A647318B2
actually is? I've checked
I had a similar issue.
If I remember correctly, the boot.WIM file location on old server was
inaccessible. Had take ownership of the directory. You can find the
location by going to Data Source -Image Path... found under the image
properties.
Other items with OSD TS migrations:

Sound like those client in different Time Zone. Try UTC on Maintenance Window

For those of you that use Lenovo systems,
What imaging options does Lenovo offer, and what do you like, dislike about
them?
Thanks,
Todd
I have two pdfs that tell you everything you need to know, but they are too
large. Getting a good host for them now.
We are investigating doing Smart Imaging, direct ship, and factory preload.
We haven’t implemented anything yet though.

For those that use this, has it been a good/bad experience? Logistical
nightmare? Is it a lot more involved to set up on Windows 7 clients as
compared to Windows 8 clients? Appreciate any opinions, thanks!

It's a fantastic technology and works pretty much out of the box for Windows 8.
Windows 7 is a little more involved and requires certificates for the second
factor of authentication.
I have a guide to implementing DirectAccess here. It's reasonably
straightforward.
Most of our clients are Windows 7, are they a headache to setup or just a
little more involved compared to Win8?

I don’t have a complete solution; but in here would be “part 1” of your
solution (I think):
http://www.mnscug.org/blogs/sherry-kissinger/249-pstfinder
part1 would be the first script, where you have clients’ create a custom WMI
namespace, and then open up that custom wmi namespace to
Just a little more involved - requires PKI. Implement the solution and test on
Windows 8 first. Then add the Windows 7 piece.
