These will start with the new fixes in October, and over time add additional
older fixes into the package.
Thanks,

Have you tried deploying/installing the latest WUA prior to that step?

I am trying to use MDT to capture a reference image. ZtiWindowsUpdate runs and
takes forever. Svchost.exe consumes 50% CPU (2 vCPUs on the VM).
I know there is all kinds of discussion out there about thisis there a
comprehensive list of what updates I need to prevent slow windows update?
Anyone know the prereqs for installing Adobe Pro on Win 10? The logs tell me I
need KB930627, which is a Vista update and also .Net. :(

I’m pretty new to the IT world compared to some of you SCCM rock stars. In my
time I have been burned WAY more by not having updates then having bad updates.
Granted, I don’t push updates the day they are released and we typicaly only do
security ones. Between here and reddit, I know pretty wel

No way, KB2775511 wasn’t in WSUS. You have to manually import it. :P

Gotcha, issue still stands as to why my Win10 box is not checking as required
under the ‘All Windows 10 Updates’… It’s been over 24 hours and still nothing.
It does check-in for software updates which is odd.

We do too. I go through the list, security and rollups and only exclude things
like: time zone changes we don’t care, updates of software we do have installed
but don’t use yet (Skype for business) etc.
(Once we use SFB and we will, it will be patched)
But because of doing everything already,
I know and it is very much appreciated !
Even more if it improves things :)

Thanks Michael!
Just one question, these roll-ups for Windows 7, do those go all the way
back post-SP1, post April Cumulative Update, or do they start in October
and move forward?
Thanks again!

I switched to deploying "Everything" a few years ago when I took over the

He is very vocal in his support of us and has fought for us on a number of
issues. Don't underestimate his influence. :)
Others also read it, they just do not respond.

I would ask that everyone actually read the original blog post:

Great thread with a lot of constructive feedback going in both directions…
One comment needs clarification I believe. Roland stated “…Michael is the only
one actively listening here, or at least contributing, …”. I think it’s safe to
say that Michael represents the tip of the spear at Microsoft
Interesting, at first this what I was planning on doing, but I am not seeing
this in the All Software Updates. I have selected the appropriate Product
Classifications and Products to be downloaded and it hasn’t showed up. I
applied all patches related to the WSUS issue as well. Are there any
I deploy them just like a regular software update. That way I don’t have all
of the extra languages and such downloaded. Working so far on the machine we
have upgraded.

I would think you'd need to set your Servicing Options for it to detect and
say that an update applies/needed to a specific machine...
I may be wrong...

What have you set for your Servicing Options? You can choose between CB,
CBB, etc. with a time delay based on days. That may be effecting it - not
totally sure as I haven't played with this yet.
