Was Hinotori ever translated?

I can't believe I missed it; thanks!

Dear MSX fans,
For a while now, I've been considering doing a website like Spectrum
2.0 (http://spectrum20.org/) for MSX games.
If people are actually interested, I'd love to start working on such a project.

Thanks for the feedback Manuel,
My interest in this project lies in actually developing it. The reason
I'm not doing this project without notifying anyone, is because I'm
not likely to be a very good contributor to the database (my MSX
collection and knowledge is limited, at least as it compares
I've been successful at formatting the floppies using fmsx-dos, copying
programs using windows explorer (or just straight extracting lzh files onto
the floppy, using dos version of LHA), then reading them on a real MSX.
Worked for me 100% of the time, without any additional software.

Thanks for all the info, I'll definitely look at it in detail once I get
home.
As a side question, is it possible to remove memory IC from one machine and
put it in another (solder, if necessary)? I have a toshiba msx1 which I
really don't need; I'd like move its RAM into the Sony if possible.
Well, how about including a rough auto-translator translation at the end of
a message?
I don't think people would mind as long as they get the gist of what's being
said.

Hi guys,
Any idea why poke -1,170 (which is sadly required for almost all konami
games) causes my sony f1xd to reboot?
It seems that I can only get a handful of software running on it.
Also, any idea why I can't get vkiller and mgear to run either (both
bloadable)?
Thanks

Computer games
Thank you, that solved the problem for the smaller games.
As for vampire killer and metal gear - the loaders seem to be a little more
complicated, so my guess is there's other pokes and peeks involved.
It's funny how little I remember after not having used the MSX for fourteen
years :(

So where can the rest of us get it? ;)

Consider upgrading to v 6.0. It will compromise your MSX even further.
Sorry i had to do this

There seem to be some news regarding the MSX3, but I cannot read them, as
they're in Japanese :(
Does anyone have a rough idea of what's going on with the project at this
point? Is it still happening, or has it been scrapped?
Followed a link from aamsx:
That's a nice site, by the way.

Hi guys,
Akumajou Dracula is currently up on ebay, and I was wondering if anyone

I still don't get the whole thing with RPG's, especially Japanese ones :)
So I guess I'll just sell it or something :)
Thanks guys. Cheers,

I've almost never seen this happen. If there's an indication of MSX still
being alive, I guess this is pretty much it :)

For info,
I think you're confusing terms fearless and mentally retarded.
Sort of like when suicidal people jump off buildings. You don't call them
fearless. You can call them a lot of things, including weak-willed,
egotistical, at the end of one's rope, but not fearless. There's a point
in time when
not condone Hiroshima/Nagasaki, it was an act of retaliation against the
bombing of Pearl Harbor. By then there was a full-blown war going on. I
don't see any ongoing wars on right now (at least not just yet).

They're tape recorders for the MSX. Like many early systems, MSX could read
and write to audio tapes. Metal Gear saves and loads games exclusively
to/from tapes.

There, now you know enough to write a 3-volume set on datacorders ;)

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a Datacorder?
By the way, I heard of people that could make interesting, almost melodic
noises with their tape motor, using a certain MSXBasic command =). Anyone
else know of this?

As someone who is in America, believe me it scares us even more. Though
perhaps I shouldn't worry that much as L.A. is supposedly fourth most likely
US target... Given that there's been 2 already, guess that means we're
second next on the list :/

I personally wonder how someone could let a bunch of losers with plastic
knives and boxcutters on a plane. Also, knowing how weak boxcutters are
(worst they can inflict is a flesh wound), I'm surprised the lot of people
on the plane did nothing to stop the hijacking.
Overall, I agree that there
Hey guys,
I just joined the list a short while ago. Could someone tell me where one
can get hold of those weird and wonderful non-midi's that are usually
featured on MSX radio? I've always thought that monty and deathwish 3 had
some of the best music squeezed out of a 1980's computer :)
Thanks,
