Hi all,
I have succesfully installed a mythbackend on one server and a frontend on
another pc. The frontend works great and can play avi files and quicktime
movies with mplayer. My only problem now is with playing dvds.
1) I'd like the system to autodetect when a dvd is inserted and start
playin
Not quite the same thing, but I use ffmpeg to convert XVIDs to MPEGs all
the time to watch on my mvpmc.

I'm trying to shrink some of my Fraisier episodes. They are all recorded
using a PVR-150 at 352x576 and play fine like that.
I've been using ffmpeg to shrink them to 352x288 but the sound comes out
pretty much unplayable with loud
