Actually, I just found the solution to my problem but I thought I'd post it
here so if others had this situation come up then perhaps you'll find this
post helpful.
In creating my new view, I right-clicked on one of the contexts and
selected 'Manage Contexts' which popped open the context wind
I wasn't suggesting that older Android versions get updates of functionality,
just that the existing functionality isn't broken by updates to the cloud
infrastructure, hence rendering v1 useless.
New features should be for the latest version.

I have exactly the same setup that you describe and it works very well. One
licence covers all your computers. You need to buy an Android version as
well.
I also use the Cloud sync which works very well. If you don't plan to edit
on your phone then you might get by with just Wi-F
