I know this is somewhat off-topic, but I'm considering getting a Windows

Hi, Steve. I don’t know much but I'll tell you what I know.
1. There are two types of Windows software, the kind designed for phones and
the kind designed for desktops. Some tablets run just the phone version (I
assume that's the RT you mentioned) and some run both, switching between them.

I use a surface pro 3 and it runs the full windows 8.1. Essentially it is
really a laptop.
MLO Windows desktop version runs fine and it is great to have the full
package in this portable device.

I should also add that I love the surface pro 3. I used to juggle a samsung
tablet a phone and a laptop - trying to keep them all in sync. Now I only
use my phone for input and take my surface everywhere.
