This is an old post but still a relavent one unless I am not using the
current MLO version correctly. The "Zoom-in"/"Zoom-out" Buttons on Windows
should move one level at a time. If I am zoomed in 2-3 levels and want to
zoom out one level it seems less intuitive to zoom out all the way.

I never thought of zooming out by one level - That’s a good idea, probably

That's strange. On it's own, zooming in should not change the order of
tasks in your view. You're not switching to a different, zoomed-in view
which has different sort settings? What are the sorting and grouping
settings in the outline view/filter you're using?
