My hard disk crashes about 90% but when I start any kind of backup or
select output into a file from 40GB table , it stops after 30 GB & then
stalled because there are bad sectors to read.
Is it possible to get the remaining data ( 10GB) , as all backups
I think what he was asking is, Are you running the Mysql workbench on the same
machine? You may not have the correct Fonts.
Being replicated the character sets of the two dbs should be the same have you
checked that they actually are set to the same?

What displays them? it sounds to me as if the display lacks something, not so
much MySQL.
