It's possibly a DNS problem (reverse DNS exactly).
You know, I'm feeling a bit stupid here... That was indeed the problem,
as the new server hadn't been moved on DNS yet.
I put the IP address into the windows hosts file on the DB server, and
the problem cleared up immediately.
