Part of configure reads:
(cd mit-pthreads; sh ./configure)
I invoked configure as so:
sh -v ./configure 2> /tmp/foo
This leaves the following at the end of /tmp/foo while its running:
./configure: mit-pthreads: No such file or directory
./configure: mit-pthreads: No such file

When attempting to compile mysql-3.23.54 on NetBSD 1.5.2, I get the

And in fact, the mit-pthreads directory is not ther

Another patch for mit-pthreads under NetBSD. The newer gcc that is now used
on NetBSD-current needs a prototype for select(2) to compile mysqld.cc
otherwise it aborts with:

Do not use MIT threads with 4.2. Use FreeBSD native threads, as
described in our manual.
