Yeah no problem. I believe you will need to run the following:
mysqld-nt --standalone

I have installed mysql on a windows 98 machine and I want to be able to connect to
that server from another computer on my network. The other computer is a windows 2000

I have try several time to install MySQL on my windows 98 machine with no luck I
have look thur the readme file. It seems to load but will not start. Any help will be
