God doesn't use MySQL (I think he leans towards Postgres - he needs views and triggers). But if you are interested in MySQL, Paul DuBois's book, MySQL, Second Edition is a great reference. If you need more insight into performance tuning, then Jeremy Zawodny and Derek Balling's book, High

Get the recently published book from Jeremy Zawodny. It's excellent. Very easy to understand and goes through all the admin stuff. It has a chapter dedicated to replication and explains in simple concise steps how to set up replication. It demonstrates many different types of replication
