Heya,
I've managed to repeatably crash mysqlgui by running a query that
returns a column of type "year." Though it dumps core, gdb does not
provide a useful stack trace. Though this is not a serious bug, it is a
bit of an annoyance.

Hi!
As it has been asked by several users, there is finally a mysqlgui
binary for the SPARC Solaris 2.8.
It is as static as possible. The only dynamically linked libraries are
those for which Sun does not supply static variants.

Can anyone suggest where I can find this mysterious edfile?
Thanks.

Is mysqlgui capable of connecting to the mysqld daemon via a unix
socket, or must it use the network. Mysqlgui appears to ignore
the 'socket' option in the my.cnf file. Am I out of luck, or did
I possibly make a mistake in the compile?
thanks,

No wonder you could not do
I have been unable to use the create table or edit table features of
mysqlgui. Are this meant to work out of the box or is there more
configuration I must do?
I have tried with both 1.7.4 for Windows and 1.7.5 for Linux.
Thanks

Hi!
Your two problems are easily explained. You do not have edfile.o,
because you have not built fl_editor.
Second, 2.95.3 has some serious problems with STL libraries, that is
why I suggest you downgrade to 2.95.2.
