This bug was fixed in the package casper - 1.298 --- casper (1.298) precise; urgency=low * Write out a new casper.conf with derivative values if they've been changed. - Fixes applications that parse /etc/casper.conf from breaking. - This can be reverted after the livecd-root

2012-01-16 Thread Mario Limonciello
I've added a temporary workaround for casper that makes the changes in the casper.conf in the initrd (as well as livefs) until this can be fixed directly in livecd-rootfs. This will unbreak any applications that were parsing casper.conf to find the proper values to be using for now. -- You recei

I just tried running today's daily and didn't hit this problem (but hit some others). I'm suspecting it was a transient ubiquity bug. Would you mind testing on the next daily image that includes mythbuntu-live- autostart 0.60 or later. Hopefully that should be either the 1/17 or 1/18 images. Th

You have been subscribed to a public bug by Mario Limonciello (superm1): Today's casper (1.295) now uses the product name as the username and hostname, instead of the hardcoded "ubuntu" we used to have everywhere. It's doing that by parsing .disk/info at boot time and changing its environment to

Yes but as fglrx caused a kernel OOPS (cf. bug #883873), I ditched them in favour of the radeon drivers that came with the X server (package xserver-xorg-video-radon). Upon closer inspection, the loader looks in the following places for the library on my system (according to the strace-generated d

Do you have the nvidia or fglrx drivers installed? Or did you ever? Did you by chance ever install them by hand (NOT using packaged .deb's) ? They do muck with alternate libGL.so files in alternate paths, so I wonder if something went crazy at some point from those drivers that might not have bee

Finally managed to solve it. After digging deep into the backend invocation and looking an strace dump, it became clear that a DL depdency (libGL.so) could not be resolved as this library is residing in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/mesa in my 11.10 installation. Adding a suitable LD_LIBRARY_PATH sett
