briefly the screen
turns completely off and stays that way. After power is reapplied a
few seconds later, a human being can then turn the TV back on if they
want to.

You know what would be really cool? If you could show the upcoming
recordings in the form of a bar graph, over time. This could be
similar to the way a personal info manager shows appointments or, for
that matter, to the way the program grid looks.

used to, you
could select a channel, wait for it to be tuned, and then if you
right away pressed up or down again, the new OSD would appear on top
of the old one, making an unreadable mess.
This still happens somewhat, with the "broken" code, but it's nowhere
near as ann
.arg(gContext->GetHostName());
That should cause the code to only look at visible channels when trying to
find the next channel above or below the current one. I think that should
be all it needs to fix it for you. If it does, I can get the fix in CVS.

The only way I was able to clear it up was by quitting back to the
menu and hitting Watch TV again.

I am running the CVS version from Feb 2, with the new ivtv code, on a dual
tuner 250/350 system. I'm using the 350's TV-out, with ivtv 0.2.0-rc3j.
Correction: I'm using rc3f.
