Heh. You really have software that *requires* mysql5 already?
Yeah, but that's my fault. I can probably fix that.

Dammit! You mean I recompiled everything for mysql4 just in time for a

Which commit was that?

with a caveat: Only supports the mysql 4 branch!

So far it's been the gentoo and arch linux users who've had the mysql5
problem... probably because those distros have that in their main
package channel.
But I really have no idea how one would go about fixing the problem...
the log files are utterly unhelpful (works one minute, dies the next,

I agree... but I'd like to see myth play nice with mysql5 before
making a fixes release.

Try using 0.18.1-fixes in SVN. It's .18.1 plus gcc4 compilation fixes.

Speaking of gcc4, I had to downgrade to gcc/g++ 3.4 in order to get a

I hate having livetv files so much that I edited the menu to disable
the function. Too bad, I actually liked being able to pause livetv
every now and then (or to surf and use the guide info).

Another thought on commercial flagging... what about checking for ad

I just tried applying that patch, and here's the output from patch:
patching file mythweb/program_detail.php
Hunk #1 succeeded at 105 (offset -1 lines).
patching file mythweb/schedule_manually.php
patching file mythweb/themes/Default/schedule_manually.php
patching file
One other finding, your patch breaks the disk usage line at the bottom
of the file on the 6/26 CVS, despite no patch rejections. Regular 6/26
CVS has a working usage line.

Actually, that does sound good. :)
Thanks for pointing that out, I rarely mess with qmake more than I have to.

Well, I agree that the myth menus are too crowded (and therfore not
particularly wife friendly) but I would not personally mind to see the
feature bolted on to the side. It could be integrated with mythmusic
later. I'd also like to see mythdvd and mythvideo integrated...
Well, here's my idea of a menu:
1) Watch
2) Record
3) Setup (which can be left as is, there isn't much reason to change that)
Under watch
- Live TV
- DVD
- Recorded (no difference between recorded from TV, or recorded from
other sources)
Under record
- Rip DVD
- Rip music (FM or CD or DVD
Is it just me, or does ./configure --prefix path not work? It
changes the setting in config.mak, and even though that file is
imported by settings.pro/mythplugins.pro, it does not have an effect,
and the path becomes /usr/local anyway. I'm making packages for Arch
linux, and I'm adding sed lines
would be cool if there were mythwebradio + mythfm = mythradio
Just a frontend launcher for xmms (or other streaming audio player)
would be fine. :)
As for the FM radio, where do you get the play schedules? :)

Hi, as much as I hate to bring up an old thread, I'd like to make a
feature request to another person that has a massive list of videos...
and knows how to code. :) Or at least ask some advice.
How do you categorize your videos? Is there a better way than from the
frontend? I'd like to batch

I would certainly appreciate easier packaging. :)
The current mythtv qmake settings don't seem to apply to the i18n
subdir and so that doesn't get properly packaged by default. Go
figure.
