Since I started using mythtv (and mythmusic), one of my biggest gripes
has been the clunky interface for creating playlists in mythmusic. Not
quite as elegant as the playlist editor included in itunes (which I
used before getting mythtv). I thought "wouldn't be cool if there was

After upgrading to the latest kernel, I had a problem betting lirc to
work. Turns out that you must use the latest beta of lirc, if using
kernel 2.6.14:

one thing I noticed lining up some recordings for the kids is that the
items in the playback screen that are added to a playlist have the same
color.Makes it hard to see what was marked. Other themes use a different
color for this.

receiving about 40 QAM_256 channels that are unencrypted (mostly the
timeshift channels) inside MythTV.

Because I use directv, it's actually cheaper to use directv tivos
instead of multiple receivers. The tivo gives me two tuners, and
they're cheap.
So, I don't need any timeshifting features.
I DO need deinterlacing.

Every 24 to 48 hours I get a hard crash on my Myth Backend:
kernel: CPU 0: Machine Check Exception: 0004
kernel: Bank 4: b2070f0f
Kernel panic: CPU context corrupt
My reseach pointed to a likely hardware issue, so one at a time I
tried the following:
I'm in this same boat. Of course I'm sitting at the back on the right.
I thought maybe it was my remote, so I looked at it through my digital
camera with the view finder, and when I press the buttons I see the LED
light up.
I just followed Jarrod's guide and my remote is not working. Everything

By encouraging, I mean if "Service" changes back to "WCCO-DT",
that would be just great. And, if the latest MythTV code really does
require a scan for changes to be made to the list of channels, then
that would be great, too!
