I am experiencing a problem similar to yours with a PVR-500 that I loose sound on one of the tuners when I come backup on after I do a reboot or a shutdown. I have to disconnect the power to the back of my box for 60 seconds or so then plug it back in and it works fine. You may want to give it a tr

When I was trying to this on my Sony someone pointed out to me that if I had a 5000 or 6000 series nVidia card that you can check you log file and it will tell you the parameters for the modeline. I haven't been able to do this because I have a 4000 series card but you can check it out. Let me know

Did you try the + and - key. I know that is what does it during movies. I have a few home movies that are avi's that always start a little off. Is there any way to specify in a config file where to start the audio? Thanks

I posted on how to do this a couple of days ago if you want more details but the short and sweet of it is:
To get the sound
working you have to update the firmware with this link from Hauppauge's website. Then update the firmware by doing the following:
mkdir ~/pvrfirmwareunzip mce_cd_v27a.zip
If you are talking about no audio on the second card then I can say that I have audio on both tuners on my system.

Hope this helps anyone trying to get a PVR-500mce working on FC3.
