I'd steer clear of the one with no AGP slot. It has Intel integrated graphics and it's a pain getting it to work with Myth (at least with HD). The other one looks great.Tom

Install libXvMCW, compile Myth with support for it, point your XvMCConfig fileat the XvMC lib for the 810 and you should be able to enable XvMC support
within Myth and it should work. libXvMCW is a wrapper that supports nVidia,Intel and Unichrome (possibly others?).-- Harry O._

My last cable company (Cox in Northern VA) told me the 8000HD firewire
ports weren't active and the 3250HD's were. I don't know what that

I think the best method of getting the Mac Mini to play HD streams
would be through xvmc. Myth already supports it and I'm pretty sure
the Radeon 9200 has the capable hardware. You just have to bug ATI to
provide it in their binary drivers (and support the powerpc platform
too).

There is a lot of information about these boxes at the avsforums.
They're ridiculously expensive so I don't think anyone has tried them
with Mythtv. Back when I was researching them (about a year ago)
there were a lot of problems with them but they could be fixed by now.

I DEFINITELY recommend checking your sound settings as stated earlier.
That is how the video is synced to the audio (unless video as
timebase is selected). You also might want to check out your xorg log
file for anything fishy in there. You can get more log information on

I tried the "dd if=/dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 of=testfile.mpg bs=1M" and
it produced a 0mb file for me too. I can record stations in mythtv
though so I know it works.

the website of the Air2PC card it says the card can only tune up to
806mhz. This is a misprint. In the spec sheet it says the correct

Apparently the ebuild looks for the mythfrontend stuff in
mythfrontend-0.17 instead of mythtv-0.17. If you untar the
mythtv-0.17.bz2 file, move everything to mythfrontend-0.17, then tar
it back up again, it should work.

You might want to try a lighter window manager. I use fluxbox on my
Myth frontend and it works great. It doesn't have a lot of the bloat
that kde has. It might help you if kde is using up all your memory.

Sorry, what I meant was, I don't think you can use a mini pci solution
with that board because it doesn't have any ports for the antenna. I
guess it could be possible with other systems.
