Thanks heaps for your help - I would never have sussed that out.
I think I resorted to ethereal to suss it, can't remember. As it happens,

When I try to access mythweb from this mobile it asks me for the
username and password, which is good, but then I just get a blank
page, which is bad.
IIRC, this is due to "http://blah/mythweb/"; actually redirecting to
"/mythweb/program_l
For what its worth the HTML theme is styled/formatted similarly to the
WML version, so personally I would start with that and modify it to
meet the cHTML requirements, Ideally you'd try something of here

OK, thanks. I do have that file.
For my Nokia 3120 mobile phone the user agent string is "Nokia3120/1.0
(05.91) Profile/MIDP-1.0 Configuration/CLDC-1
Just a note: yes, the user agents are in the includes/init.php file.
As for my problem, it looks like the available themes will not work
with my DoCoMo I-mode phone which supports cHTML as opposed to HTML or
WML. Now since no one else seems to be experiencing this problem, I
will pose a new questi

Aye, sorry should've noted that earlier, look at this:

it wasn't in that release, bad luck, you could always try your luck at
cvs/svn builds ;) ?

Round and round we go ;) As I tried to explain before, WAP is the
protocol that is used for data transmission between the phone and its
WAP gateway [main point of connection to t'internet]. What you're
*really* asking about is WML , which is the language used to build up
screens on traditional WAP
Hello!
Thanks for your help so far. Here is the problem. I-Mode docomo
phones operate on CHTML and not WAP. I have found the user agents
section in includes/init.php, but since Docomo does not use WAP I am
not sure what to do.
Is there a chtml theme for mythweb?

No worries, it seems to me that themes in mythweb are dual purpose,
one is to change the style of mythweb on a particular platform, and
the other is to provide a theme suitable for different platforms.
In theory it should automatically determine you're calling it from a
cell phone based on the use
Maybe I am asking the wrong questions, sorry.
I am trying to access my Mythweb from my IMODE enabled cell phone.
Will mythweb detect the mobile browser automatically? I see you
mention themes, but I am not sure how to alter the theme on mythweb.
Is this a manual process or will it redirect it itse
Puzzled, WAP is a communications transport mechanism as opposed to TCP IP!
There are two mobile themes it seems, WML and HTML. I can reliably
inform you that both work on my phone at least, and they both work
over GPRS rather than WAP. The WML theme also works happily over WAP.
What is it exa
Has anyone had any success accessing Mythweb from the Docomo line of
I-mode phones?
Is there some kind of mobile theme that does not rely solely on WAP?
Any info would be spectacular.
Thanks,
David
