It seems to me that Christopher raises an issue which many of us have faced and failed to find answers. TV out using x-windows does not fit the screen. Yes, we can make mythtv fit, but anything running under X will not fit. It makes it very hard to manae configuration issues if you do not h

MythTV can be made to fit by using the GUI X/Y size and displacement options. Other applications need to support something similar, or they will run off of the screen. Alternatively, you can try to use a window manager that will pad windows and make them fit, but this may cause some problems (I w
