Ouch! That is not at all what I wanted. Bummer. I
don't even have an HDTV so I don't care about HD. What I wanted
was a pure digital feed to my MythTV box so I wouldn't need to do an
D-A and then A-D again. Too bad.

If you have a box the can handle HD, you will be able to get all of the
free-to-air (OTA) HD channels that the cable provider carries.
You won't have to pay for an HD package.
In all likelyhood, these are also the ONLY channels (along with their
SD versions) that you will have access to via fire
Should I assume by this comment that if I get a receiver that has a
firewire port that they have to enable it even if I'm not getting an HD
package?
