Meantime, I'll look at the DPI thing, thanks; having a W/S TV, I've
done the 'other' done thing and told xorg.conf my TV's screen size
explicitely to ensure that Myth/mplayer get the aspect ration right.

I haven't really noticed/tried changing the font sizes in
Myxer/Titivillus but I can try tonight. I have never had to do this
because I have X setup to use 100dpi.
Did you set your X resolution to use 100dpi? That
