Thank you for your response, but isn't a change from "Warning" to "Critical" a

Sorry for the long subject and post. We're running 2.10 on CentOS 5.
When we acknowledge a service alert that goes into warning, we're not
receiving an alert when it goes into critical.
For example: we're monitoring the E drive on a file server. The drive
goes into a warning state, Nagios send
That did it, thanks Marc. I forgot there needed to be a contact group
association for the hosts, I thought that was still handled through the
hostgroups.

Hello,
I have Nagios 2.9 running (Dag Weiirs) running on Redhat Enterprise 5.0.
When I go to "Reporting" and select Trends I choose a host to view and
the graph is EMPTY.
I am not sure where to start in troubleshooting this problem.
I know this is vague but I am just looking for a
Not weak at all, I think that points towards the issue. At some point I changed
the ‘*’ to a couple of usernames. Changing it back for Authorized For All Hosts
allows this new user to view all hosts. This is close to what I want, but not
exactly. I just want them to be able to see the hosts that

I can post snippets of host and contact files if necessary. However, I'm
curious about what you've said about cgi.cfg. The new contact shouldn't have to
be defined here, should it? In cgi.cfg I can define users to be authorized for

I've setup some new servers in Nagios, and assigned them to a new user listed
in contacts.cfg and in an .htpasswd file for cgi access.
Running the configuration verification check shows no warning and no errors.
When logged in to the GUI as this user I can view all of the services, run
commands

I agree - there are still a ton of RHEL4 boxes out there. We are pretty
strict on keeping with RHN - RHEL4 uses Python 2.3

The latest version now works fine on my CentOS 5.1 boxes.
Now all we need is a version which works with python 2.3 so I can check

Could you pls try the latest 0.6.5 plugin that I've just put on

I tend to intentionally check lots of things to try to break the check

can start from scratch and figure it out.
I just want to add that "Send custom service notification" does work, I

Hi,
I've just released the Check_Yum plugin on NagiosExchange.org as the
only one there seemed quite inadequate.
Features of the new plugin (none of which are in the old plugin) include:
- Differentiate between Security / normal package updates
- Better output - numbers of packages updates
