Tried that still can't get it to work
I have got the central server nagios debug set to external commands nothing
shows in the debug log.
Also nothing from nsca in both of the servers nagios.log
And on the central server the nagios.cmd file stays at 0 bytes so nothing
seems to be getti
Anyone resolve the following error with this script, or is it not possible to
use it with esx4 and the vSphere sdk?

never mind I figured it out - added the uid - but that wasn't the problem
anyway I had duplicate definition problem and corrected it.

For other OS's you can install one of the myriad of free/pay PDF
writer/printer applications or the entire documentation is available

if it's for windows event logs... i use NagEventLog... just made my life
easier. NSClient++ handles the active checks and NagEventLog handles passive
checks for Event Logs.

I use "nagiosgraph"... it's just installing RRDTool and nagiosgraph, then
adding/modifying map file entries as needed. Most default checks can be
graphed automagically out of the box.

I'll second the WebInject vote. We use it heavily in my office to test our web
applications. Here is a simple example I used to demonstrate logging into a
drupal website and checking a specific page for content.

I have 2 nagios servers ( 1 central and 1 remote) on different networks
performing active checks. Everything works well with the email notification
and both web interface.
I am using NSCA to try and send all the results from the active checks on
the remote server to the central.

Sorry Kevin, I was out yesterday or I would have responded earlier. I
don't think that's the case. I forgot to mention it in the earlier
email, but I checked the log files of a periodic cron job that also
runs on the same server every 5 minutes, and its logs show an
uninterrupted timestamp. In a

now displayed instead so the user can't click on it.
Is there a way to stop nagios from translating my http link to text?

This is true for some cases but we have a few servers which are using 75%
swap (8GB RAM, 8GB Swap), which are blazing fast even then. So I don´t think
swap usage _alone_ is a good indicator, but it can be.
