Elaine, This is the same argument I had when LED first hit the market. If I applied each layer of gel in 10 seconds for a whole hand, sure it would help. But I don't. I am always working or cleaning up if the client is in the lamp - never waiting for the cure to finish other than at a trade

Marsha, If you are going to use shellac make sure you get a lamp with a fan, Shellac is part polish and needs the fan for drying I have used my non fan lamp with shellac but it really does make a difference with that fan. If I could do it again I would have gotten a fan in the lamp which I got

Ditto! AND one thing I like about LEDs is that the lamp doesn't have to be an additional 3 inches deep to account for the ballasts on the bulbs like with traditional flourescents! I'd love a design that keeps my clients from whacking their nails against the interior back wall of the lamp
