Well, It isn't really sticky layer either, but sticky layer is a quick easy way to explain it. Why complicate things, when sticky layer says exactly what it is. If you really want to be correct, dispersion layer would indicate that something was being dispersed or being distributed. I imagine

Anna, If your brush is dry and you pick up a very small amount of gel you are going to have to kinda scrub it in the nail to get it to spread farther over more of the nail. so your end result is even thinner then you could get it brushing it on as thin as you can. use a short bristle brush short
