I have a challenge for you beauty industry gel and UV chemists. I have a friend who is working on her doctorate in cancer research. She still thinks that beauty industry uv nail lamps cause cancer. I gave her a print out of the information that I learned about from this forum, the one titled "Do UV Lamps Emit Unsafe Levels of Ultraviolet Light?" . She obviously will not pay any attention to any information given to her by someone other than the University where she is working on her doctorate. That would be Washington University in St. Louis, MO, one of the best schools in the country.
My challenge to you and the rest of the industry chemists is to get the universities to teach the information from the experts in the industry, not the opinion of a general researcher who is not involved in developing products for the beauty industry. I have no idea how you could accomplish this wonder of all wonders, I would just like to see our Universities teaching the truth and not hypotheses' of people who do not know what they are talking about. Is this a pipe dream? I hope not, but, how can we lowly manicurists compleat with what Washington University is teaching. Wash U is like a god around here.
