Susan, Yes you just apply the maniq over natural nails. Many of the gel companies have a soak off gel clear gel, I personally like Maniq. And I apply, I usually just use one coat, a little bit thicker. You can apply regular polish right on top of this. And yest you can keep it on and

Yes it's gel polish - but not solvent based, it's Akzentz Options color line or Luxio (I use both, they are both 100% gel, Luxio just is the new line that soaks off in 10 minutes or less if I were to do a natural nail service). Diana uses a soak off gel for a base, I use a hard classic gel.

I've found that putting classic hard gel on my natural nails w/out enhancements doesn't work.Of course I've only tried that w/ one brand, so that could be the problem. I find I prefer the gel polish to the soft gel color. The pure gels are too rubbery feeling. My clients prefer the gel polishes
