Hey Sherri, I use both the Colorpop and LE nail displays.  I never rough up any of them.  I also apply the product UNDER the clear tip so the top is completely smooth.  My routine is to apply a clear coat of gel first, cure it full.  Then two or three coats of color fully cure them then a
