A BGP issue?

I run a small network on a mission base in the Amazon jungle which is fed by a satellite internet connection. We had an outage from Feb 25th to the 28th where we had no connectivity with email, http/s, ftp, Skype would indicate it's connected but even chatting failed, basically everything stoppe

Something is worng with the list I think .

I'm wondering (and that shows that I have nothing better to do at 3:30am on Monday...) how many people around here realize that the plain old IPv4 - as widely implemented and specified in standard RFCs can be easily used to connect pretty much arbitrary number (arbitrary means >2^256) of computers
