Now, with regards to the email chain, all of these are very valid points.
My objectives were two fold
a) Test Path throughput through ISP backbone
b)Test my 1gbps

Agreed. We actually started hosting our own speedtest.net server in order
to get some more consistent results. Still nothing like iperf. But a decent
"Quick and dirty" type of test.

Just quick update - Yes it was issue with older version of Quagga + for
some strange reason things don't work unless I restart zebra after
restarting bgpd.
