2016-02-09 Thread Matt
Hi group! A designer friend of mine is working on a new concept for an installation and could use the help of someone who builds or tinkers with gas discharge tubes. Ideally someone in Europe and even better if it was someone in the Netherlands. Any leads? Thanks! -- You received this mes

Richard Wheater of Neon Workshops may be your man, or at least a good starting point (he knows everyone). Apart from being a Neon artist himself, he also fabricates for others, most recently for the London-wide Lumiere show a couple of weeks ago. I did a bit of training with him and he's a good

[neonixie-l] Help with wiring for Gralex panel meter (with panaplex display)

Hi all, I hope you didn't click on this post hoping to find such a circuit. It's actually what I am looking for ! I want to drive 100 IN-9 Nixie's in a circuit. So based on say 12mA per tube Max at say 150V I am going to need a LOT of current. 1.5A has a sufficient safety margin (I think). I do

So, off-the-shelf mains inverter PLUS simple power supply circuit from the mains volts, OR add a transformer and rectifier/filter. ?? If safety is an issue, a zillion small powersupplies ? John K - Original Message - From: Phill Scan To: neonixie-l Sent: Wednesday, February 10,
