Having just seen these online, I ordered myself a set of four. More
expensive than most display tubes I've purchased, but not
prohibitively so. What I'm curious about is what purpose they
served? What was the application where existing display technology
was otherwise unsuitable?

and since I ordered four pieces, I will come back to you if I have
