Hello,
I have a problem with my snmp agent in Net-SNMP (tested with versions
5.6.2.1 & 5.7.3) my agent crashes when responding to snmpwalk. When it
reaches the end of my MIB tree it gives segmentation fault
Steps to replicate the problem:
snmpwalk -m ALL -v1 -cpublic localhost enterpris
Not sure if this is
the right list, let me know if I am wrong and I will put it into one of
the other lists.
I am trying to
compile the perl modules for net-snmp-5.2.1.1 I am getting the following
error:
/usr/local/lib/libnetsnmpmibs.a(route_write.o)(.text+0x40e): In function
`write_rt
Hello,
I am using 5.2.1 on
fedora core 2 machines. I am trying to setup agentX for a group of
machines that live in a sheltered part of my network. There is one host
that can see the rest of the network and I would like to turn this host into the
Master. I was hoping someone could help me
at 90% so it should have gone already :).
The config is as follows:
agentSecName root
rouser root
defaultMonitors yes
Let me know if this is fine or if I misread the tutorial.
Thanks again,
Javier

hello,I am using
version 5.2.1 on a fedora core 2 machine.
I loaded the agent
via a rpm package. Since I loaded this way how would be able to use Disman-event-mib support on the module?
If someone could let
me know that would be great.
Thanks,Javier

Hello,
I have net-snmp
versions 5.2 and 5.2.1 on my fedora core 2 machines.
I recently changed
java from 1.4.2_03 to 1.4.2_08. After I did this I started to see the below error:
test040 11:19:06 snmpd[304]: Cannot find module (IP-MIB): At line 0 in
(none)
test040 11:19:06 snmpd[304]: Cannot
Ok,
Not a problem, thanks for the info.
This makes me feel a bunch more sane than before :)

Robert,
Since I installed this as a rpm are there options to get this active in
that way or would I have to grab the src and recompile that?

Javier

I was wondering if I
could add an include file or add shell commands to the snmpd.conf file to look
at?
I am looking for
this so I can roll out a standard config onto many machines 200 + and having an
include file would allow for easier customization of items like syscontact and
so on.
Re
I see on the
homepage for net-snmp there was an issue on 5.2.1 for the ifXTable.
It shows Patch available but I can't seem to find it. Can someone please
point me in the proper direction?

I was hoping for
some help on this one. The release notes says this works in this release
but the rpm I pulled down to work with my fc2 boxes does not have this
available. Although I see it in the MIB I cannot do a snmpwalk of the table nor can I do a get of the different oids. Is there a
Ok,
So I saw the
IfXtable was supposed to be supported in 5.2, I have 5.2.1 on fc2 and
this seems not to be supported even though I see the definition in the
If-Mib. Does anyone have a reason why the HC oids don't
work?
Thanks,

One more item on
this.
In the mib_file.txt
I do not see these items, but I do see them in the mib.
Do I have to add
them to the mib_file.txt before I can read them or have data put into them or am

here? If there is a doc already for this I am sorry and just point me th
Hello I am running
with 5.2.1 on a fedora C2 linux machine. The IF-MIB that comes with the
package does not contain the HC oids. How would I go about either adding
these oids or adding an updated IF-MIB file into the
machine?
