New user here. Trying to install version 5.7.1, and I get an error cannot find
-lperl. Per the INSTALL file, I went into the perl subdirectory, and ran make
there. Now I'm getting a message that my versions of perl aren't identical. I'm
getting the impression that I'm on the wrong track here.
