I've configured it with the following line:
./configure --host=powerpc-linux --build=i686-pc-linux-gnu
--target=ppc-denx-linux --program-prefix= --prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr
--bindir=/usr/bin --sbindir=/usr/sbin --sysconfdir=/etc
