My latest observation with #5223 and OS 5.27 is that if you click in Netsurf's URL field but not double-click nor do Ctrl-A nor otherwise select its text, then Ctrl-C does put the text in the field onto the clipboard for pasting elsewhere. Only trouble is if you do highlight the text in the

This is all getting very confusing. For what it's worth, this is the target behaviour that NetSurf's aiming for, note it varies depending on whether the version of RISC OS supports text selection / C in writable icons: RISC OS with text selection support ===
