I'm new to NetworkManager and have an interest in coding up a new feature
into it. I think it would be great to have the ability to partition out
adhoc networks from infrastructure networks in the available wireless

Here is another issue I found with nm-applet 0.7 (r118):
nm-applet is autostarted on login. Whenever I login, nm-applet is not
shown in the notification area. It's running though (as ps aux shows)
and it also correctly passes the wpa credentials to NM.
My gnome-panel takes quite some time to load
