I have a Matrox G200, and in KDE under Mandrake 5.3, the best I can get is a
virtual desktop with low resolutions. I want to use the SVGA server with
1024X768 and 32bpp. I cannot figure out how to fix this, I have tried
editing the XF86config file but have had no luck. Any ideas?

first thanks for the correct command line for
true color which was
startx -- -bpp 32
modem question using kpp using mandrake 5.2
I changed it to com2(cua1) in settings in linux and it came up
with a screen that said modem ready but then nothing happened the dialup box
froze

Exactly, COM3 is what I got with the 220 on Win 98, couldn't change it
so back to the Diamond shop it want. I wish it had worked, I sure hope
you get it working ! If you have a PnP modem, can you disable PnP ? Use
JP to configure COM2.

I have compiled Video4Linux and bttv driver in kernel (kernel 2.2.1), but
Kwintv's configure says me that any Video4Linux device is found.
How do I make the devices in /dev? I have tried "MAKEDEV video" and other
